Also worth noting that Sydney's Cacturne and Shiftry, as well as Steven's Cradily, can beat Swampert. Other than that and the rival, most grass trainers can be skipped, I think.
Anyway, it's got the highest base stat total of all starters to this day and the fewest weaknesses. There's a reason it's preferred for RSE speedruns.
