>>32770943I bought White when I was starting my first year of university. I went ahead and saw the Pokedex to know which version to get for the exclusives, but I knew nothing else about the games. It was absolutely magical. It was like my first time playing Blue as a little kid. I loved encountering only new Pokemon. In spite of their linearity, each city and each route had a little something that made them worth revisiting. My interest in Pokemon was slightly waning at the time, but Gen V is what brought me back into the series.
I remember that I replayed the game four or five times, just so I could use every starter and the different Pokemon in the region. I liked how each gym leader felt like their own person and each had a role to play. I loved how alive the region felt, like it was an actual place that could be visited.
It also introduced me to my waifu.I was overjoyed when I saw the news of B2/W2. It was when I first started going on 4chan so I got to experience the hype season here. Those were some great couple of months.
