I've decided to start with FireRed. Might move on to Crystal and Emerald after that.
I know there are newer games, but I want to get the partial old school experience - maybe not in black and white, but old enough.
And when I asked about a FAQ, I did not mean a guide or walkthrough for the games, I meant a /vp/ sticky of sorts, where most of the newbie questions are answered, so that guys like me wouldn't need to make new threads about it. But this one seems to have turned out quite nicely.
