I always wonder, if there exist some type of law in the Pokemon setting that would allow Pokemon to gain certain rights. If a Pokemon learned how to speak like a human, and was just like:

It'd be a really messy case, considering how uncommon it is for a Pokemon to want this or even learn how to talk, but it could happen which raises the question. I think they'd give them rights or at least try them as a person/adult, considering children who graduate from primary school are seen as adults in the Pokemon world and their world is more accepting and peaceful than ours.
