Post Allister update.
To be honest, nothing too interesting happened until the gym.
Hop was a cake walk (obviously).
Used my grinding time on catching some new mons.
Also used the dens to gain some levels and moves.
The Allister battle wasn't good.
Briony took down Yamask with one energy ball.
Then, for some reaaon, I thought Mimikyu was weak to poison, so I kept Briony in.
Well, imagine my shock when Venoshock did next to nothing to this thing. It kept hitting Briony with Hone Clawed slashes, while Briony spammed Venoshock. With the help of the Shell Bell she held, and srupid AI, instead of going for the kill, Mimikyu used Hone Claws on its last turn and Briony took it down. Why didn't I switch her? Mostly because I didn't bring anything with me that was actually good against Mimikyu.
Next was Cursula who was KO-d by Stewart's Crunch.
And then Gengar happened.
I sent out Romilly since she was both very bulky and strong. Gengar hit Romilly with one Max Darkness, super effective but did less than half. She could take another one before switching out if needed. She used her psychic move. Did around 75% damage. Next turn this thing is gone. And then the AI decided to actually work and destroyed Romilly with a ghost move. My first death in this run, and quite a painful one. Romilly was a go-to against any poison or fighting mons, and now I feel like I will be missing that bulk.
Then, I sent out Stewart. I hoped it would outspeed Gengar and take it down with a Crunch. Which happened, after gengar used a poison move and left Stewart with LESS THAN 12 HP.
After taking out the Gengar I got the badge and now I need to train a Pokemon in her stead that will have enogh bulk to deal with Opal.
