Some parts of this are to be expected from a game in EA but only a bootlicker pretends it doesn't impact the enjoyability of the game in it's current state. They also really need to rework the economy in the game, it has the worst aspects of an MMO and a single player game at the moment. The stamina system or whatever it was called (I haven't played in at least six weeks minimum) has promise as an alternative to PP but the values assigned to attacks in terms of damage to stamina ratios are just all over the fucking place and need serious tuning. This is made worse by how fragile most temtems are - you need to switch more frequently (or use expensive healing items) and when you do your temtem eats like 40% of it's health in a free attack OR you are able to take advantage of the enemy being in the same situation and just make them predictably blow their wad while you heal and then just wipe multiple temtems for little effort or thought. The typing system is also deeply confusing because of how the matchups work so differently than Pokemon while so blatantly being reskinned Pokemon types. Evolution being based on levels since you acquire the temtem rather than hard set has problems and encourages breeding very heavily - though I will admit the breeding system is much more user friendly and less autistic than Pokemon.
While the devs are being upfront that their roadmap for future content will be spread across the next year at a minimum that's the sort of time frame that encourages checking the game out every few months rather than playing consistently. My girlfriend was interested in the game and I make enough money to casually buy small games like this and I genuinely didn't care about the pronouns shit as I didn't read anything any of the NPCs said, just like when I play Pokemon.
