(yes, even over Pikachu) i feel as if they haven't had that many personal "bro" moments like in your pic. If there's something i miss from D/P and maybe even AG, it's the tiny pokemon interactions. It seems to me like XY for the most part paints a bigger, better picture, but at the cost of some details. I'm not saying they don't have ANY interaction, i just think that we should see the pokemon in focus more often, along with more background interactions with their trainers and the like.
This is the Gen that introduced an actual PokePetting Sim, they should focus on contact and closeness more.
