>>20727621Probably not. The official HGSS eyecatches only showed morning/afternoon/night changes in caves when the sky was visible. I would liken the Waterfall Cave eyecatch to Dark Cave entrance-wise (it's what I based the lighting of the eyecatch on when I made it, anyway).
That said there's no reason it can't be done regardless of what was done officially so I don't really care either way.
