Update on my no items in battle Emerald comfy nuzlocke.
I restarted yesterday as I posted because I was triggered by wingull dying on route 102. So here is my updated team.
Galveston has easily handled May and various wildlife up to this point, but there have been some incredibly tense moments due to my lack of caution going into battles. On route 104 I accidentally triggered the lv7 zigzagoon fight with half my team at pretty low hp, and I had to resort to hitting three supersonics in a row with Llafranc and spamming growl, then when I got down to 4 hp (!!) I swapped to Galveston and spammed mud-slap until he couldn't hit me anymore. By that point he had somehow landed 2 tail whips and I was at 9 hp so didn't feel like chancing anything. I sent out the pupper, Brussels who proved herself in her first battle, taking an opponent 4 levels higher than her down from half health without taking a hit!
This shit is gonna get interesting. I'm going to be farming berries like a madman to absorb status and heal mid-battle. I missed an encounter with marill on route 104, which could've been useful, but oh well.
