I still think Dawn is a better character than Serena. The problem is that Serena has a mature look while Dawn looks like a child. Since most shippers are adult, they prefer a mature looking girl like Serena over kiddy girl like Dawn, Maybe Dawn gotten a redesign that make her look mature than it probably decrease Serena's influence on the fanbase.
