Flareon's hair seems to take on a lot of different interpretations that can be observed from all of the previous images in this thread, though. I like to imagine it as wool seeing as Flareon's hair 'puffs out' a lot more than usual hair does and also the fact that (as far as I know) wool is naturally the most flame-retardant hair out there, which makes sense so Flareon doesn't ignite itself as easily (not that it would, anyways).
