It always moved like a guy in a costume anyway, and in fact the non-Mega form arguably looks more accurate to that proportionally than the Mega form does, so stretching out the legs adds absolutely nothing clever to the design at all. If they'd wanted to actually further the reference they could've done something like picrel and had it partially split to resemble two people in one suit.
