My Unovan partner would definitely be a Snivy that I got as my starter Pokemon, but I'd probably also really try and get a Turtwig. I travelled to Iceland in February which is Sinnoh-esque, so maybe I caught a Turtwig there.
I'd probably love battling locally, but I think the competitive scene/league would be too much work for me. I'm a research assistant at a public health lab right now, so I'd probably just expand my research to include public health of people and Pokemon. Work gave me the Porygon2 to help with testing the app we're developing
