Go ahead and skip to the second turn if Blaziken has sub instead of protect. This just in, everything has a counter, and frail set up sweepers die to priority. And no, "hurr but then you need to always have Azumarill to counter Blaziken!" is not a good argument for stupid bans, especially since not every team would have Blaziken, just like how not every team has Scizor, and not every team was drizzle+swift swim before Smogon chimped out and banned it.
The only rules there should be are the ones nintendo/game freak use themselves. Smogon and its stupid tiers and banlists are the cancer killing pokemon right after the hackers
