>>42459058Level 1 has many factors to it.
Does the mon have good starting stats? If not, does it have good levelups?
Does it have a good moveset? Multihitters are huge if you can get them. The ability to evade enemies is also a huge help. If it can use things like Roar and get speedups, this alone can carry the run
Does it have a useful ability? The right one can propel a pokemon from "okay" to "actual god" to "actual garbage."
Is it a TM reliant mon? If so, Destiny Tower will be much harder for you than Zero Isle South because you need to steal TM's in DT.
How resourceful are you? Do you know when to stop and look at your inventory? Sometimes fighting isn't the best choice, an item may be better. Not to mention, some really obscure items may come in very handy.
Do you know how to check for an enemy in a dark hallway to avoid being ambushed in the dark? Throwing items like rocks down a hallway can give you an idea of if something's there.
Do you know what the exp-heavy mons are? Finding these early on can be huge.
Do you know what the "god tier" items are? Reviver Seeds dont exist in destiny tower, but items like the Detect Band (more evade) Pass Scarf (pass off certain attacks and return them to the enemy) and Warp Scarf (speed through floors and evade hallways) can carry runs.
And lastly, at what point do you stop exploring the floors for items and gun for the 99th floor? Rushing for the stairs every time isn't the best idea.
There's a lot of factors to consider, but the best way to see how it goes is to just give it a shot. After awhile you'll get the general idea of what to do. Try out a ton of pokemon, the successful mons may surprise you.
