>>42977065>It had the most pokemon introduced from any generationLook, as i stated, the middle of the dex in good. At least 4 Unova mons are in my Top 20. But over half of the dex ranges from average to complete shit. Just so you know, Gen IV is my fave, but i still also dislike a good 30% of the dex. Unova is on another level. But that's not even my biggest gripe with it. It removed too much of the great stuff from Gen IV and hardly gave anything to compensate for it. Game Speed is a tiny fix that makes a big difference, but the rest are tiny fixes that don't improve much.
I've seen people praise the postgame because 40% of the donut region is locked until you finish the game, which only serves to make the main playthrough extremely linear and tedious, Perhaps the most linear main story in all the franchise. It only serves to hurt the main game and artificially inflate the Post Game. I'd be pissed if i couldn't visit most of Kalos until i finished the league too. The exploration didn't convince me as much because the region wasn't convincing, as stated. I liked the mystery behind the ruins, but i disliked it not going anywhere. Most of the areas to explore weren't very interesting, and the round region layout only made the impression worse.
I also never criticized moving sprites. I just think they're hardly a feature and they don;t look very good. Most of their animation is simple Puppet Warp to cut corners and it shows. But it wasn't a gamechanger in the slightest. I also disagree with the Sprites looking better than the models. You're treating GF's amateur spritework like it's Metal Slug level spritework. Good models are inherently better than spritework, especially that of Pokemon games, and much more can be done with them.
