http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEEioapdK2I"Ahh, Route 9! The wind's in my hair, I'm on a mountain ledge that could collapse at any moment, and I have a feeling I'm going to see at least one explosion today. I feel ready to tackle the world, Miss!"
The maiden doesn't bother joining you in staring out into the horizon, "Please keep your priorities in check, Calem. We have much to accomplish today. Business before leisure."
"Oh. Erm, right...."
Route 9 as implied, is set on the side of a titan of a mountain. For what it is, it's extremely thin. Only a slim path as wide as a sliver, a very rocky path at that, stands as the sole option for a trainer wanting to get from one side of the route to the other.
And throughout that slim path is dozens and dozens of Ground-types. Fortunately, Froakie has recovered from the Barbaracle incident, so he should have the meddle to kick some shins now.
Gordo off-handily mentioned a cave on the other side of the route that might just be the main domain of the behemoth that killed his poor wife, there's bound to be some Chrysolite in there, and maybe some more fossils that could benefit the Fossil Lab's now bone-dry inventory.
A) A berry tree? Growing in the middle of a mountain? Pick dat shit!
B) Check out the burrow in the ground, might be some cool shit in there.
C) A rustling bush? Oh goodie goodie! Check it out!
D) Board the Rhyhorn to cross the rocky terrain!
