>>52962281It's remarkable, the average player, at least the ones on twitter and reddit, seem to have absolute hatred for anyone who pays money for the game. Which raises the question, why? Why would players hate the people financing the game they enjoy playing so they can keep on playing for free? And the only thing I can think of is that these people don't actually enjoy the game, they're just as addicted as the whales, but think because they spend their time on the game instead of their money they are somehow superior to the whales. And Niantic apparently thinks it's a good idea to punish the paying player by making everything cost more and be worth less.
All of this paints a very clear picture, this is a game in decline, with a community made up almost entirely of non-paying addicts who would rather get angry at other players than the actual people running the game. These non-payers seem to think that if the whales ceased to exist the game would start giving things out for free for everyone, instead of it just closing down because no revenue means no profits which means no reason for the game to even exist in the eyes of the Pokémon Company.
