Zoomers absolutely hate genwunners but that's because zoomers missed out on 90's Pokemania. They never got to know what it felt like when everyone could easily socialize well because pokemon was a cultural hit, since by the time they got into it pokemon wasn't "cool" anymore. Their first games were anywhere between gen 3 to gen 5. Gen 3 is debatable, but anything beyond it definitely begins nupokemon.
I'm not saying genwunners are right, because there's a lot of Kikebook autism in that image happening from ESLs and other self-important retards, but seeing this image does help explain why LGPE sold so well and why SwSh won't sell nearly as well.
