>>47750558>Pryce:>teach Staryu Rain Dance and Thunder for this battle>Staryu uses Rain Dance but Seel uses Hail on the same turn>Staryu again uses Rain Dance and this time the rain stays, Seel uses Icy Wind>Staryu hits Seel with Thunder but Seel barely survives and uses Hail again.>Staryu finishes Seel off with Surf. In hindsight making it rain again would have been the correct move.>Out comes Mamoswine. Staryu uses Surf and once again Mamoswine survives with 1HP before Sitrus Berry activates. Mamoswine uses Mud Bomb which brings me into the low-orange range but doesn't lower my accuracy.>Use Surf again, surf MISSES and Mamoswine ends Staryu with Mud Bomb. Of course, I forgot about Snow Cloak.>Meganium's Magical Leaf takes care of Mamo and Dewgong without many problems.Heading into the Radio Tower, my team was:
>Meganium>Fearow>Slowpoke (recently replaced Staryu)>Pineco (underleveled)>Tentacool (Whirlpooler)>Gloom (there to fill up a spot)>Petrel absolutely wrecks most of my terribly unprepared team. Slowpoke and Fearow take out three of his Koffing, and Gloom helps out with Sleep Powder. But they all perish due to a combination of low Sp. Def, being underleveled (Pineco) and poison. Despite the type mismatch, Meganium manages to finish the rest of them off thanks to Synthesis, bulk and Koffing/Weezing's awful Sp. Def.And here is the current state of my team. At the moment I am planning to use Meganium, Kingler and Crobat plus one or two more that I may catch in the future against the elite four, should I get that far. The rebuilding process begins now.
