Ugliness is subjective, but surely there's at least one regional form (Real or fan-made) that looks as good as or better than the original.
Not all of the regional forms are unbalanced. Some far exceed the original, like H-Samurott, but others are equal to or considerably worse.
And the "insult to the original" comment just makes you sound like a purist. They don't insult the original, they often complement it.
Like G-Zigzagoon line I think is hideous. Sucks that those designs is what the Zigzagoon line got. But the OG Zigzagoon line is still based.
