The next games could be a technical disaster and People would still buy it. With all the documentary, with all the bugs and problems, people still chose to pay full price for them. The only saving grace is Gen 10 somehow running decent. But I doubt it.
Whatever Gen 10 leaves behind as the 10th entry of the mainline Pokemon games and by close proxy for the 30th anniversary of Pokemon will set the bar.
