Acording to the Pokédex Screenshot, the Karos Region has 3 sub-regions:
>Central Karos
>Coast Karos
>Mountain Karos
The Central Karos might be jungle or forest. The Coast is obviously near the sea. On the Pokémon world, Mountains are know for being the home of many Fire-type Pokémon.
Now, this is my teory: acording to the Starter you choose, is the region on which you start your Journey.
