>>43862679I'd strongly argue, except for few characters (like Hau) the cast was one of the most likeable and memorable in the series, and more story bits helped flesh many of them out just enough to give them clear personality and some quirks. Story worked, just a solid adventure, Lusamine's personal obsession and madness instead of another plan to rule/end the world were refreshing in terms of Pokemon villains, and there were some really nice moments. Once again, what killed the game was the amount of cutscenes, which might be a bit annoying on the first playthrough but you generally still follow the story so not a big deal in the end, but absolutely ruins it when replaying.
Gen7 might be one of the best games on the first playthrough, but also one of the worst ones, if not the worst, on replay.
