Here's a weird instance. Competitive staple, but I have no idea how many actual fans it has. I think its ultra cute and I want one as a pet. Same deal with Toxapex, who I also find adorable, but its a must have in competitive teams. I think even if both Pokemon are used in comp, they're actually somewhat loathed by the same people who use them due to having to face them so often.
