>>45304751This one I've never been able to wrap my head around. I could understand a resistance, not the full immunity. I think it has something to do with the fact that Dark Types are chiefly skilled at deception. You can't use mind attacks on them, they're tricky and their minds are twisted.
>>45304754Literally still have no idea about this.
>>45304787I don't think that's true at all. Most Type match up make a great deal of sense. The ones that tend to be iffy are ones from the more mythical Type matchups. Like who's to say how a Dragon and Fairy would interact with each other? They're fictional so ultimately it's up to the creator's interpretations.
>>45304898No, Electric being SE on Flying makes a fuckton of sense and frankly, every Pokémon with Levitate should take double damage from Electric moves in exchange for the Ground immunity.
When you're flying first of all you're the highest thing in the sky, so lightning will be trying to hit you first. And secondly the fact you're not touching the ground means you'll take SIGNIFICANTLY more damage from a lightning strike. Lightning strikes commercial airplanes constantly, at times often several times a minute. The planes are made with a metal shell that conducts electricity safely around it. But if you were just flying in the air as a bird and you got struck you would fucking die, because the electricity goes into your body and you're not touching anything that can conduct the that electricity back out of your body. You get cooked.
>>45307687See the above about being airborne. Plants are rooted into the ground so they're grounded, electricity conducts out of them.
>>45305334I kinda wish the Type was called the Wicked Type or something. It'd be more accurate anyway.
>>45307250Good post.
