It's been a while since I last posted details about the Diamond and Pearl "sequels" for 2020. Development has been quick for this game.
Regarding the branched starter evolutions, the evolution route will be decided based on the affection between trainer and pokemon and miniquests scattered throughout the game.
Team Galactic is being rebuilt from the ground after the main events of Diamond and Pearl 30 years ago. The admins Crescenta and Solaria are trying to find a way to bring Cyrus back from the distortion world. Their plan is to imprison Palkia and Dialga to bend reality according to their beliefs and bring the world to a state of eternal chaos.
You can choose the difficulty right in the trainer customization screen before starting the game. You can pick Novice Trainer, Veteran Trainer and Pokemon Master difficulties.
>The first gym leader is your rival's mother, Sierra. She specializes in Rock-type pokemon. Her team is Geodude, Onix and Clampearl. Clampearl's new Future form is Rock/Poison. Their dex entry says that they had to adapt to the increased acidity in ocean waters.
>The second gym leader specializes in Poison-types. Their name is Patt, a punk fashion designer. Patt is the first gym leader to use a team of six pokemon. In Pokemon Master Mode, from the second gym on, all leaders have full teams and increased AI to make the game more challenging. Their team is Croagunk, Swalot, Stunky, Shellos, Skorupi and Purugly.
Shellos is now Water/Poison and secretes an acid mucus. Purugly is Poison/Dark and has an edgy, fashion look to it, with a bright red face and tail and neon green boots.
After beating Patt in Hearthome City, you are able to join contests. They have been revamped to be more interactive and appealing, with an extra round of battles to resemble the anime's contests.
I will be posting more info regarding DP remakes soon.
