Positive headcannon:
1. Today (Oct. 28) is his birthday! He always struck me as a fall birthday boy because of Bellchime Trail in Ecruteak, but Halloween seemed too obvious and unoriginal because ghost-type.
2. It’s a tradition he started that as gym leader, he throws one hell of a Halloween/Fall Festival party in Ecruteak every year

Negative headcannon:
1. He was raised by his grandparents because his parents died in an accident when he was really young. His grandparents were babysitting him and he asked them why his parents weren’t coming back shortly after they dropped him off, which is the first instance of him foreseeing the future.
