I'm 3 hours into Insurgence and just finished the school tourney. The one thing I dislike thus far is how much of a slog it is to progress through the routes and the dungeons. The encounter rate is very high, and it feels like there are at least a dozen trainers per route or dungeon. For each route and dungeon, I take at least half a dozen trips back to the last Pokemon center to heal my Pokemon and buy more potions. My Pokemon are already level 18 and I haven't even started the Trainer School classes yet, let alone reached the first gym. This process would be much less tedious if there was a turbo mode.
I think the First Augur was a humble guy who didn't like the spotlight, and "disappeared" to try to combat the cultists from the shadows. Jaern is probably a fanboy of the First Augur, and by hyping himself up as the Second Augur, he is distracting the cultists' attention and making it easier for the First Augur to get stuff done. The First Augur should probably contact Jaern so that they can work together.
