>>48127125>What's the non-linearity in B2W2?Icirrus City, Moors of Icirrus, the undeground tunnel connecting Castelia to Driftveil that leads to the optional dungeon where you find Volcarona, the entire desert resort segment, etc.
Being able to do the gyms in any order (really it's only 3 gyms) is a bad thing because all their levels are neutered to accommodate being able to fight them in any order. B2/W2 has loads of twists and turns without messing with the gym order and making the game worse.
>It's old Japan, look at the sprites some time.Literally just Violet City and Ecruteak, and even then, so is Kanto, a literal region from real life Japan. That doesn't excuse all of the Grass + Tree routes
>But that's most of UnovaEven the Grass + Tree routes in Unova do something different, like throw in a waterfall to scale and rivers to explore, or extra-tall grass + the catwalk above. Either that or they're connected to one of the 5 bridges, which is the real "meat" of the route, with the routes just being the preamble to the bridges.
>Why bring up a shit region like Sinnoh?Sinnoh is a great region that could be even better if not for the HM fuckery. Not as good as Unova or Hoenn, in my opinion, but it's damn near close, and the routes mostly have distinct identities.
>You sound like one of the discordfags pretending to like Unova rather than a genuine fan, honestly.I've liked Unova since B2/W2 came out and made me warm up to the generation. I'm still not a fan of the design throughlines in Gen 5, with a lot of Pokemon looking distinct, in a bad way, from most other Pokemon, and I hate the starters more than I hate the Gen 2 starters, but I genuinely enjoy B2/W2 whenever I replay them.
However, I genuinely dislike Gen 2 ever since I had the displeasure of experiencing Gen 6 and going back to take a critical look at every generation. This is long before the Nuzlocker made his video debunking Gen 2 being good.
