As a lifelong Charizard fan, I am so goddamn thankful that the anime chose, for whatever reason, to simply have him roar instead of repeat his name. It's carried over into every form of media so we don't have to hear "ChaaaaaaaaRIZARD!" or "Zard! Charizard!" in Smash.
That said, by anime-voice standards, Greninja's is not too bad. A little watery, a little whispery, somewhat gargled...sounds about right for an aqua-ninja with his tongue around his throat. I was expecting them to keep him largely silent for "cool factor", but it could've been worse.
