HMs were pseudo removed.
A Milotic with the moves Protect, Recover, Toxic, and Ice Beam, could still make use of Surf when outside of battle by virtue of being an aquatic pokemon. This meaning that you would still need a "strong" pokemon to use strength, or a "bladed" pokemon to use cut, but that you would not need to cripple a pokemon with an unideal move.
Gyms were challenging and rewarding.
A gym with a theme not directly related to a single type. Maybe a gym focused on teamwork that features various single and double battles against NPCs with support focused teams. Ones that use weather, or that will switch to a Chancey or Goodra to soak an attack and use a utility move. Or a gym focused on aggression that uses a lot of fast and strong physical pokemon from various types. They could all have 3-5 pokemon each, with the gym leader and or their direct subordinate having 6. They could even have a mega. This keeps things interesting, challenging, and rewarding.
All content were available.
Every pokemon, item, and move is available in some way in game. Even if it is more rare, more difficult to acquire, or found later in the game, everything should be available.
Are any of those ideas good? Should, would, or could any of them be implemented? Or am I just retarded?
