It's highly unlikely you don't have two other bench mons to swap in after a Lilligant death.
Lilligant does chip and often survives two to three turns for me if I get it out early and/or have erika, I'm playing around with the third grass mon in my deck and it's A1 exeggutor EX that I sometimes can swap out with leaf.
Sometimes the deck does brick with Lilligant coming out too slowly, but it is what it is
