Basically two of the most interesting choices, Marshadow and Mimikyu got reduced to Pokeball's despite their popularity. I don't know why people continue to use "muh popularity" as an argument. I'd prefer we introduce a typing or some other unique Pokemon from previous generations to get in. Hell, Zygarde would probably be a better choice than anything in the OP image and it got hardly any focus in the games.
