>>54060648This run has been... suffering. I thought moving out of JPN languages would've made it easier, but it's genuinely only an easier run linguistically. Even looking reflectively at my actions, I never felt like I was playing laissez-faire so all these deaths has me feeling terrible, and humbled by luck. Red is apparently cursed with hardship, both runs being the hardest runs I've had.
Erika and Surge were pushovers, the latter solo'd by the deceased Diglett, Klapspaten. I RNG'd for Celadon and got Abra, which + Mortar the Zard, is genuinely the only reason I can trust wholeheartedly this run is still manageable. Beedrill, again, is a sleeper hit, this time hopefully a Champ though.
The amount of mons I missed that would've helped this run, while not too numerous, are pretty impactful. Missed a Geodude, an Oddish, and a Safari Zone Chansey, the latter dodged all balls and then ran. I have to replace Ditto, unless I'm feeling like handicapping an already handicapped run, but Koga + Safari Zone will fly by, then its ever worrisome Sabrina.
