>>39972234>Disguisting pixel spritesThis is GF and Nintendo's fault. The marketing for this game was so shitty, I had no idea the Pokemon were animated and as lovely as they were. All I ever saw were still screenshots that looked like even shittier quality of the still images used in battles for Gen IV, which frankly were lazy as fuck in the era of the DS (approaching 3DS, no less).
Because of that I skipped Gen V altogether. Maybe if they had released a demo, or featured more gameplay videos more prolificly on TV/Wii/ect. I would have bought into this gen.
Fuck, I would buy them now if the fucking used games weren't more expensive than they were when they were new.
All that said, they're is no denying that many of the new monster designs do suck. HARD. For every semi-decent one (Tepig/Oshawott, the elemental monkeys, Genesect, ect) you have pure Turner-esque shit like ice cream cones and garbage bags, or even shit like blue/red fags in karate his that look more like shitty cosplayers or a Kindergartners fakemon than actual pokemon
