You get a defense curl or two and they're completely helpless while you set up to steamroll Scyther. And speaking of Scyther, it has to carry the dead weight of two borderline-no, OUTRIGHT useless team members. It can't U-Turn into anything remotely reliable, giving you a free turn to use a potion or an X item if you're a nerd. It has only Focus Energy and Leer to lower something's defense, which wouldnt even matter that much if you use growl or defense curl right back. And U-Turn only serves to give Scyther an out of a troublesome counter, which WOULD be useful if Metapod and Kakuna weren't dead fucking weight that give you a free potion turn. The fact that those two pokemon have 1 MOVE should've made the answer a no brainer, and yet /vp/ continues to disappoint me. Bugsy held back too much, and hes just a glorified bug catcher trainer battle. Oh my god.
