Greetings from /tg/
Only slightly off topic, but I feel narrative and setting building fits well enough. I plan on running a rules-lite Pokemon TTRPG mostly over skype where RP is text-based.
I want to run a scenario where the players land on an almost completely unexplored region where the only speck of civilization is a tiny town that doesn't even have a power grid yet.
What general climate do you think would be the most fun to play in? I myself am torn.
Like for instance, a tropical climate is done to death but sticking with genre conventions has its own appeal.
Someplace colder like maybe Pokemon Siberia or Cape Horn S. America would be a change of pace for typical Pokemon settings, but rather limits Pokemon diversity being such an extreme climate.
Ditto for a desert region, but replace ice with sand.
A temperate climate seems the most boring since that's what 90% of the game and anime constitutes.
Thoughts? Ideas?
