You sort of got the metallic look down, shiny surfaces like metal have high tonal ranges. Your use of black and near whites are semi correct in that regard. Shiny reflective surfaces are deceiving though. You created blurred, smooth transitions. Stuff like metal is actually composed of many many hard edges of light meeting dark.
Go watch some ctrl+paint, do some still life drawing of reflective objects, and practice more because you're still only about as good as when you left.
