clawitzer, inteleon, garchomp, octillery, and ice pokemon in general (especially in winter) would all be very usable. light clay users coupled with special attackers for ground vehicle drivers would be smart. earthquake, draco meteor, fissure, and sheer cold would be very meta.
ofc the bulletproof and flash fire abilities, steel and fire resistance would be very valuable as well with human combatants. grass and psychic pokemon wouldn't be seen on the battlefields as much but would be very useful for hypervigilant insomniacs and the wounded.
if the average light infantry would have mons about level 30 or so I could see a common team consisting of a flying type, a water type, and a mon with sniper, bulletproof, sturdy, flashfire, skill link, megalauncher, magnet pull, or weather related abilities depending on where they're stationed. elites would have more ghosts, fairies, dragons, psychics and darks imo.
