I don't think "/vp/" can successfully boycott anything, the best thing we can do right now is to simply spread factual information about the game to as many people as we can.
A lot of people who are interested in LGPE straight up do not know there are only 151 Pokemon in the game, nor do they know their starter can't evolve. Gamefreak is praying on those who don't study what they buy so the one thing we can do is let them know just how shitty LGPE actually is so they change their mind.
Normies won't care about no abilities and held items, but a good portion of them WILL care about being locked out of getting something like Togepi, Pichu or Espeon. Combine this with reminding folks that Smash comes out 2 weeks after and we could affect real change, granted there will always be people who will plug their ears and go "lalalala GF can do no wrong", but hey, even one lost sale is better than nothing.
