I love how you never see Metagross's prevos until the final battle. I was like "Holy shit what is this angry spider robot thing." Then I get a shitty Beldum post-game, check where it is in the Pokedex, see there is only 1 slot between it and Metagross, and am all "Hell yes."
I love how it's a robot, yet has a natural feel to it with all the rough edges. All the other robotic Pokemon look artificial--and there's nothing wrong with that, but it makes Metagross feel very unique.
Oh and it was a beast in Gen 3 & 4.
