Also there was no way in hell I was going through Hoenn again using the same damn limited pokemon for a 4th time. I hated RS. Emerald was only tolerable because I could send pokemon over from FRLG.
So now, I have these guys from a mono mystery egg team my friend and I set up so we didn't have to embrace the hell of Hoenn again. Absolutely love doing mystery egg teams as I use pokemon I may never have considered raising myself before, they're competitive, and can make me fall in love with pokemon I never ever would've used over my dead body (who are now bros from the story line). It also makes the game interesting if I already played through the region before.
You may want to keep your shit "bros", but I rather make bros that can stick around and come forward to my future games without me sighing at them clogging up my box space.
