>>38673310I know you said it was dismal, but in all honesty, this comes off as more... bittersweet, maybe? Certainly not as dreary as I was expecting!
Nothing to be embarrassed about in wanting to leave a legacy behind, even if it's a physical one.
To leave behind a story for people to find, something they could ponder about, to fantasize and daydream about the creature that might have called it home, to think and feel the emotions and story behind each gem and treasure.
You could wonder, would they ever see how beautiful it all is? Surely, but only sometimes. To see it all the time would be too much, they'd have to be you, and never, well, that would simply be too little.
But sometimes, every now and then, they'd look into the shallow, clear waters of your home and see the glittering reflections of all those precious gemstones and treasures amongst their own, and they'll see it, all the beauty and wonder in the culmination of a lifetime of work and emotions, and that will be enough. To look upon your work, the story of your lifetime, and dream.
I want to give this a proper crack, but this already turned out longer than I thought! Your fantasy's a lovely one, anon>>38673999Nice trips, anon! As someone who's really not into tomboys in the slightest, I really enjoyed reading your thoughts on role reversal.
Gives me an idea of the draw of it all, at the very least. Thanks for sharing
>>38674200I know your computer crashed so you lost the (You)s of your older posts, so I wasn't sure if you noticed I'd answered your question in my post
