>>53491062We've hit the point in the game where the pacing falls apart, so...
Failed to catch a Trapinch on Route 13, sad.
>Ramos Simisear two-shots Jumpluff and sets Yawn vs. Gogoat. Switch to Lapras and two Ice Beams from relative safety take it out.
Then just switch to Swalot vs. Weepinbell and win, because what's it gonna do, poison me?
>ClemontSimisear lead. I expected Emolga to be faster so I go for Yawn first. It was not, so the Yawn is wasted on the Volt Switch. All this really means is that Magneton gets Electric Terrain Up before getting repeatedly Flame Bursted, wasting Clemont's healing items.
Once Heliolisk comes out, I think I can take a hit from T-bolt, and I do, at 4 HP. E-Terrain ends, and I switch to Swalot to get chip damage, and then to Tyrunt for some more. Tyrunt takes Heliolisk out with 2 HP remaining.
Once Emolga comes back, I switch to Grumpig and Power Gem the flying rodent.
I should now be able to level up Helioptile and get Volt Switch to it before the next Gym if I want to. Probably replace Grumpig in that case.
>>53494935People look at the caps differently. Some will strictly apply the level cap to the Champion fight itself, some do it like you do, and I generally enter the E4 at the level the last E4 is at.
Regardless, congratulations for getting through B2, even with heavy losses at the end! The E4 gauntlet is especially rough in the games despite the first four only have 4 Pokemon each.
I'd say Emerald. I don't have much experience on Nuzlocking it, but Renegade Platinum sounds scary, and FRLG I know will give you a huge pile of Pokemon to use. My run of Red was so boring that I didn't even write it down, and I feel like FRLG would be somewhat the same.
