1 After falling so low in the world ranking and still lacking enough maturity, her grandfather sends her on a new journey.
2 She should start from scratch, so bye bluedoggo for a while, she starts with a Torchic.
3 Since her goal is to know and master the secrets of mega evolution she should only catch pokemon with this possibility and learn that for each pokemon to master its mega-form a different approach is needed, some become violent, others disobedient, others shy and so on.
4 The team I would choose for her would be a torchic, a male ralts, a heracross, and bunneary to maintain her Fighting Gym Leader status, with the surprise addition of Mega Swampert which looks like a fighting type and gives her team more variety.
5 As a final arc for the character, it would be to face Mega Mewtwo X
6 As a cherry on the top, she becomes a secret boss in some DLC for SV, where the pokemon she will mega evolve will be random, making the encounter more unpredictable.
