here's a fun challenge to keep /vp/ occupied now that we're all doomed to board death what with the no-news new leaks;
itt we create and share 'conceptual movesets' —that is, sets that are totally legal and can be created in-game but don't necessarily boast any competitive value whatsoever.
>basically gimmick sets
Here's an example:
>Natu
>Teleport*
>Fly*
>U-turn
>Roost
Explanation: This is [similar to] a set I used to run on Natu back in the day on GSC. I wouldn't allow Natu to evolve, and I would use it primarily for Teleport and Fly. It amused me to imagine a pokémon as small as Natu trying to fly a trainer through the sky, so I rationalised this by picturing Natu achieving this by combining the fly and teleport techniques, teleporting its trainer high into the sky then quickly flying and teleporting to catch them and zapping them further along the journey until they reach their destination.
Totally useless, but it entertained my imagination.
I've put in U-turn to highlight the passive, utilitarian nature of this set, and Roost naturally so the little bird can rest after long journeys kek.
There's a few other super shitty sets I've come up with like this, so let's see what /vp/ has got to share along similar lines.
Rules:
>Mark the key moves with *'s
>Provide a short description of the movesets concept —what purpose or role it fills, maybe who trained it and why
>It has to be legal, it doesn't have to be competitively viable, but bonus points if it is
Hard mode
>train the pokémon for real and post pics
The more niche and immersive the better. If this is something you've genuinely trained before that's rad but feel free to make them up as well.
Yes /vp/, this is what it has come to.
Go forth, and gimmick.
