Eternatus Eternamax is probably based on the Shesha, the king of Naga, a giant Serpent depicted with multiple heads, most of the time he has 5 heads, and the tails is coiled as a spiral with Visnu resting on it.
It could as be based on the Ancient Serpent, or also known as the Apocalypse Dragon (which is Satan), which is depicted as Seven-Headed dragon who brings destruction and the end of the days, exactly like Eternatus.
My headcanon is Eternatus being one of the "thousand arms" of Arceus, who helped to shape the universe.
