All 3 of them are actually named after food in the original JP text, which is why you see so much fanart of the 3 of them together, especially on Pixiv. But on the international versions, the translation is lost with Valerie, which kinda destroys the joke of the 3 of them hanging out together.
Either way, there's a fine line between meeting between friends for some good food and dating another person outright.
