>>54867745I mean despite all those things, it's still a refreshing change from the main game battle system to me, but that's because I really like Triples and they've been gone both in main games and Showdown for ages now, and the whole game is Triples. Oh yeah, I'll also complain about lack of type resistances (even if I understand the reasons for it) and kind of bad variety in movesets, it would be nice if there were more characters with moves like Light Screen or Trick Room, it feels like they haven't really used the full variety of moves with unique effects in the base games.
As much as I like complaining, I do appreciate the story and just being able to see my faves hang out in the lobby. And I get to see Hilbert and N's gigantic height difference and they gave me a canon attempted NTR plot, so that's all I really need.
